All individuals submitting an application must submit their primary application and materials online through the ADEA American Association of Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS), which has its own application fees depending on the number of schools to which an applicant is applying.

The earliest date to submit an application to AADSAS is early June and the latest is January 1, 11:59 p.m. (ET). Applications past the deadline will not be accepted.

After you have applied through the AADSAS system, you will receive an email notification from the UCLA School of Dentistry’s Office of Student Services. Applicants will be prompted to submit a non-refundable application fee of $60 U.S. dollars online to the UCLA School of Dentistry. It is recommended to pay the $60 fee within one week of the email notification.

Additional letters of recommendation and application updates submitted directly to the Office of Student Services will not be considered, all material is collected through the AADSAS site.

After paying the UCLA fee, please allow 1-2 weeks for processing. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that their file is complete. Status updates will be provided on AADSAS website and by email upon request, but are not available by phone. Only complete applications will be eligible for review by the Admissions Committee.

Applicants are notified of acceptance to UCLA’s 4-year DDS program between the first Monday in December and May 1 as we are on a rolling admissions timeline. Alternates may be notified after May 1.
