Intro To Periodontics
Course description
This course will focus on important aspects of periodontal pathology, diagnosis, patient education, and non-surgical periodontal therapy. Lecture topics will include histopathology, periodontal microbiology, pathogenesis of periodontal diseases, classification of periodontal diseases, risk factors for periodontal diseases, periodontal evaluation and patient education, and non-surgical therapy of periodontal diseases. Peri-implant diseases will be introduced, and evaluation and maintenance of dental implants will be discussed. Periodontal diagnosis and treatment planning will be presented and discussed.
