Advanced Materials & Biomechanics
Course description
This course will first introduce properties of specific dental materials in clinical practice and their interactions with dental hard tissues in the oral cavity. Additionally, recent advances and new materials in the regeneration of craniomaxillofacial structures will be presented with specific emphasis on 3D printing and tissue engineering approaches.
The following part of the course will provide the principles of biomechanics and illustrate how restorative materials and dental appliances response to mechanical challenges occurred in the oral environment in order to optimize the clinical service of the material.
