Clinical Infection Control And Compliance In The Dental Care Environment
Course description
These courses will monitor the students’ compliance with principles of infection control and conformity with environmental regulations that govern the practice of dentistry in the School of Dentistry clinics. The parameters evaluated in the course are introduced to students in various classroom presentations during the pre-doctoral curriculum and are delineated in the school’s Infection Control Manual, Dental Clinic Handbook and periodic communications from the school administration. Emphasis is placed on applying clinical protocols that minimize exposure of dental care providers, students, staff and faculty to microbial and hazardous agents.
