Course description 

This course is an introduction to Critical Thinking & Evidence-Based Dentistry (EBD) and the methods, approaches, tools, considerations involved with a focus on evidence-based patient care in clinical decision making. Students will learn how to navigate available literature, databases, and understand and apply the methods/tools relevant with evidence-based approaches. Students will acquire these skills in the context of understanding available literature and resources, statistical and ethical considerations as well as practical applications in the complexity of clinical practice with the goal of providing a basis for meeting their responsibilities to serve dentistry and people at the practice, local, state, and national levels.
