Course Details: This course will introduce dental students to periodontal surgical therapy for the management of periodontitis (pocket treatment) and to the preparation of the dentition for restorative dentistry (crown lengthening). Dental students will be instructed on how to communicate periodontal treatment to patients. The course will also discuss the relationships between systemic and periodontal diseases.
