Course description

The goal of this course is to introduce you to the normal structure and function of the human nervous and musculoskeletal systems.  We will also present aspects of disease processes, pathology, and therapeutic interventions relevant to your future dental practice.    In order to accomplish your learning goals in the Systems courses, you are required to: a) continually apply the basic information to the clinical setting; and b) to integrate the newly acquired information and those previously gained across the year. Every attempt will be made in this and all the subsequent teaching blocks to bridge the basic science concepts with their applications in dental practice.
