Course description 

This clinical course is scheduled during the 3rd year and the summer and fall quarter of the 4th year dental school. The course is designed to enable students in applying concepts learned in the earlier didactic courses in the OSD and GDA Tracks. Foundational knowledge applied to this clinical course include Internal Medicine, Pharmacology, Physiology, Systemic and Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine, Orofacial Pain and Behavioral Sciences. In this course, students practice the process of patient assessment and the formulation of an appropriate dental management plan tailored to the patient’s medical status and psychosocial needs.
