The UCLA School of Dentistry will be well-represented at the 52nd American Association of Dental, Orofacial, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) Annual Meeting and Exhibition, taking place this week in Portland, Ore.

A total of 12 School-affiliated researchers will present their discoveries, including dental students, residents, postgraduates, and faculty members. The full schedule of UCLA Dentistry presenters is listed below.

AADOCR also includes a robust awards program, and its National Student Research Group (NSRG) has selected UCLA’s Dr. Karolina Kaczor Urbanowicz as its 2022-23 Student Research Group Mentor Award recipient. She will accept this honor – which is based on student nominations – on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Oregon Ballroom 202.

Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., attendees are invited to engage with UCLA Dentistry representatives at booth No. 604 on the floor of the Oregon Convention Center. Ask questions about the School’s grant-funded research programs, or simply pick up some fun, branded promotional items.

No professional conference is complete without a networking component. On Thursday from 6 to 8:30 p.m., School of Dentistry Dean Dr. Paul Krebsbach and Associate Dean for Research Dr. Yvonne Hernandez-Kapila will host a mixer at the Duniway Hotel. The School’s traveling delegation as well as alumni based in the Pacific Northwest will gather for hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and conversation about the robust research initiatives underway at UCLA.
