Twelve Bruins Partner with Board of Counselors for 2024 Leadership Institute Journey
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, the annual UCLA School of Dentistry Board of Counselors' Leadership Institute (BOCLI) welcomes its 2024 student cohort.
These third and fourth-year D.D.S. candidates partner with volunteer mentors from the School’s Board of Counselors who bring extensive knowledge, experience, and skills from their dental careers. Over ten evening sessions this winter and spring, participants will define their goals, recognize their leadership styles, and hone skills essential for professional success.
Guest speaker sessions featuring leaders from diverse fields will delve into topics such as emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship, spokesperson, and communications training.
The Institute culminates with students presenting their five- and 10-year leadership roadmap projects, followed by a certificate presentation and celebratory reception on May 8 at the Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center.
