Welcome To Our New Board Of Counselors Members

Drs. Mitra Mogharabi Ardehali and Kami Hoss

At the end of April, we welcomed two new members to the UCLA Dentistry Board of Counselors. Drs. Mitra Mogharabi Ardehali and Kami Hoss. We welcome their energy and expertise and look forward to having them on the Board to help make crucial, strategic decisions about the well-being and growth of the dental school.

Dr. Mitra Mogharabi Ardehali received her DDS degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1990 and now works as a private practice dentist. She has also been a continuing lecturer in the Section of Restorative Dentistry at the dental school since 1991. Dr. Mogharabi brings with her a unique perspective to the board as she is an alumna, faculty member, practitioner, and current parent of a D1 student. She was also the chair of Parent Council at Barnard College, Columbia University for 5 years.

Dr. Kami Hoss completed his undergrad at UCLA in 1988, and received his DDS degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1993. He also received an MS in craniofacial biology and completed his postdoctoral residency in advanced orthodontics from USC. Dr. Hoss is CEO, co-founder, and an orthodontist at The Super Dentists, a private dental practice for children and adults, which he runs with his wife, Dr. Nazli Keri, co-founder and fellow UCLA undergraduate alum. Dr. Hoss is also co-founder of the Howard Healthcare Academy, an organization focused on training practitioners and integrating oral care into whole body health care. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego Dental Society.
