This Wednesday, Jan. 18, marks the start of the School of Dentistry’s annual Board of Counselors’ Leadership Institute (BOCLI).

BOCLI brings together a cohort of 12 third- and fourth-year dental students and a group of volunteer mentors who share deep knowledge, experience, and skillsets from their careers in dentistry. Over the course of ten evening sessions, student participants will establish their goals and objectives, identify their leadership styles, and develop skills critical for professional success.

Guest speaker sessions featuring leaders in a range of fields will cover a broad range of topics, from emotional intelligence to entrepreneurship to spokesperson and communications training.

After students present their five- and 10-year leadership roadmaps, the Institute culminates with a certificate presentation and celebratory reception on May 10 at the Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center.
