Requirements for Admissions

Proof of your status as a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident*

DDS or DMD degree from a CODA-accredited program
-
National Board Dental Examination (NBDE), Parts I and II (Official copies of scores must be emailed to: postdds@dentistry.ucla.edu. Part 1 is required to apply, Part II is required prior to matriculation.)

Advanced Dental Admission Test (ADAT) score is not required but highly recommended
Application Process
PASS Application Deadline: September 1

Submit ALL primary materials through the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) website.

Participate in the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program (Match) for Orthodontic programs.
Supplemental Application

Oral Biology Master's Graduate Application
UCLA Graduate Division Deadline: December 1
- Apply for admission to the Oral Biology Master’s Program through the UCLA Graduate Division only after being admitted to the Orthodontics Residency Program.
Incomplete files will not be considered, including files of any applicant who fails to timely apply to the Oral Biology Master’s Program. All application information that is collected will be kept confidential.

*Verification of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency must be received by June 1st of the admission year or acceptance into the program may be withdrawn. Failure to provide proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency after the start of the program shall result in automatic suspension and may result in dismissal from the program.
