Requirements for Admissions

  • DDS or DMD degree from a CODA-accredited program

  • Integrated National Dental Board Examination (INDBE) or National Board Dental Examination, Part I (Official copies of scores must be uploaded to PASS), Part II must be passed prior to start date of program.

  • Submission of all documents requested on the PASS application portal.

  • Comprehensive Basic Science Examination (CBSE)

  • Proof of your status as a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident

Application Process

  • Submit ALL primary materials through the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) website

  • Participate in the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program (Match) for oral and maxillofacial surgery programs.

Incomplete files will not be considered. If an applicant with an incomplete file has sufficient merit based on the materials received to qualify for an interview, a conditional interview will be granted, contingent upon missing materials being received and the applicant still being deemed acceptable for an interview by the admissions committee.

PASS Application Deadline: February 1 (see PASS website for updates)

Match results will be released at the end of January, after which we will start looking for all non-MATCH applicants that have applied for the Internship through PASS. You should make sure that all your application materials are complete. If you applied to the UCLA OMS Residency Program on PASS, please contact PASS for instructions. They will charge a second application fee but may be able to transfer some of the information you have already submitted.

*Verification of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency must be received by June 1st of the admission year or acceptance into the program may be withdrawn. Failure to provide proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency after the start of the program shall result in automatic suspension and may result in dismissal from the program.
