Biography

Dr. Vinodh Bhoopathi is a tenured associate professor in the Section of Public and Population Health. A diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in dental surgery from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR University in India. He holds a master’s in public health degree from East Tennessee State University and a doctor of science in dentistry, specializing in dental public health, from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bhoopathi has previously worked at the Goldman School, the Dental Bureau of the New York State Department of Health, Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, and Temple University. His research interests include oral health disparities, access to care issues, nutrition and oral health, and implementation science and dissemination research.
