Alumni Initiatives

Ways to Get Involved

The UCLA School of Dentistry aims to connect all of our alumni with volunteer opportunities that will truly match their interests. The following opportunities are available exclusively to our alumni.

Dental Delights

“Dental Delights” is a virtual program that aims to bring together students and alumni from a variety of backgrounds for an evening to network in a casual setting. Alumni from all over the world are welcomed to host a virtual event.

Dinner for 12 Dental Students

Each year, UCLA Dentistry alumni host "Dinner for 12 Dental Students” bringing together alumni, faculty, and student dentists from all generations to enjoy good food and great conversation. Modeled after the Dinner for 12 Strangers program that UCLA started in 1968, the dinners provide an opportunity for the dentists-to-be to meet and network with practicing dentists in a casual, welcoming setting.

“I decided to become an organizer for Dinner for 12 in order to connect alumni with current students. It’s been such a pleasure working with so many UCLA SOD graduates who have been graciously opening their homes to students and lending them sage advice. I’m greatly looking forward to another great Dinner for 12 season next year!”

- Sarah Kiamanesh, Class of 2026
