Applying for Aid
Step 1: Eligibility Criteria
In order to receive federal financial aid, you must:

Be a US citizen, permanent resident, or U.S. national (includes natives of American Samoa or Swain's Island) with a valid Social Security number*

Be registered with Selective Service, if required
-
Be enrolled at least half-time in a degree program
-
Not be in default on any federal funds
-
Be making Satisfactory Academic Progress
Step 2: Applying for Aid
4-Year DDS Program

Apply for all University Aid. (Allows consideration for grants and low interest subsidized, federal loans, in addition to federal Direct Loans. Among the required forms are documents, which request parental information.)

Apply for the federal Direct Loan only.

Apply for Scholarships only or in conjunction with one of the other options.

Apply for a Private Educational Loan only or in conjunction with any of the above options.

A federal Direct Grad PLUS Loan may also be considered after Direct Loan eligibility has been determined through the financial aid application process.
2-Year PPID Program

Apply for the federal Direct Loan.

Apply for a Private Educational Loan.

Step 3: Access and Complete Forms
To apply for all University Aid or a federal Direct Loan, you must meet all of the eligibility criteria and submit all completed forms required for the particular type of financial assistance you seek. An incomplete financial aid application will not be processed.

What is a non-custodial parent? A noncustodial parent is a parent who does not have physical and/or legal custody of his/her child by court order. | |||
