Participants will learn about:

  • conditions with acute presentation
  • conditions with chronic presentation
  • obstructive and restrictive lung disease
  • dental treatment of patients with cardiopulmonary conditions
  • dental implications of pulmonary infections

Course Objectives

By the end of the lecture, participants will be able to:

  • define the implications of asthma in dentistry
  • explain dental management of patients with atypical pneumonia
  • describe dental treatment modifications for patients with severe COPD
