Our mission is to improve oral health for children by delivering education, identifying best practice evidence-based research, utilizing innovative training curricula, and leading policy and advocacy development efforts to change the landscape of pediatric dental care from reactive to proactive.

Objective 

  • Utilize evidence-based research findings and clinical interventions to transform oral health behaviors​
  • ​​​Establish and support the concept of dental homes for infants, children and adolescents for comprehensive oral health care
  • ​Following the guidance of well-child visits, get children to the dentist for a check-up before their first birthday
  • Work in collaboration with community partners such as Early Head Start (EHS) and Head Start (HS), Women, Infants and Children (WIC), and local Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to increase access to oral health services
  • Advocate for policy changes for preventative dental outcome reimbursements
