Amy Lassere Appointed Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations

The UCLA School of Dentistry is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Lassere as executive director of development and alumni relations, effective July 13.

Lassere brings more than 20 years of fundraising and advancement experience in higher education and the nonprofit sector, including more than a decade of leadership at UCLA, her alma mater. She moves across campus from the UCLA School of Education & Information Studies (Ed&IS), where she served as senior director of development since 2018, leading major gift fundraising, strategic development initiatives, donor engagement, and alumni relations efforts.

"Amy is an accomplished advancement leader with an exceptional record of building meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and campus partners. Her strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and deep understanding of UCLA's philanthropic community will be invaluable as we continue to expand support for our mission in education, research, patient care, and public service."

As executive director of development and alumni relations, Lassere will lead the School's comprehensive fundraising and alumni engagement programs, working closely with school leadership, faculty, alumni, donors, and volunteers to advance strategic philanthropic priorities and strengthen lifelong connections with the UCLA School of Dentistry. She will serve as a key partner of the School’s Board of Counselors, and lead the school’s development and alumni relations team.

Throughout her career, Lassere has secured transformational philanthropic support for endowed chairs, scholarships, faculty, and academic programs while building enduring relationships with donors, alumni, volunteers, and campus partners. Prior to UCLA, she held advancement leadership positions with the American Red Cross and UC Santa Barbara. Lassere is also a proud UCLA alumna, having earned bachelor's degrees in art history and French.
