Biography

Mijoo Kim, D.D.S., Ph.D., is an assistant adjunct professor and director of the Restorative Dentistry Preceptorship Program at UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Kim graduated from Wonkwang University School of Dentistry, South Korea, in 2009 and earned both an M.S. and Ph.D. at Yonsei University College of Dentistry, South Korea, in 2014. She received a certificate of clinical training in restorative dentistry at UCLA School of Dentistry in 2021. Dr. Kim served as a research professor at Yonsei University and Kyunghee University, South Korea, before her appointment as full-time faculty at UCLA in 2023.  She conducts basic and clinical research focusing on hard tissue regeneration, dental implants, biocompatibility evaluation of dental materials, and digital dentistry. She is also a practitioner in the UCLA Faculty Group Dental Practice as a restorative dentist.
