About
Yi Lin, B.D.S., M.S., Ph.D., is a health science assistant clinical professor in the Section of Orthodontics at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She earned her Master’s degree and a residency certificate in orthodontics at UC San Francisco. Before that, she received her dental degree and orthodontic residency training at Sun Yat-sen University in China, and completed her Ph.D. project in craniofacial science at McGill University in Canada. Dr. Yi Lin is an author of multiple research articles and literature reviews, leading research projects on 3D analysis and bone regeneration of the craniofacial complex. A diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, she provides orthodontic care for patients of all ages.

Courses directed/co-directed: Orthodontic Treatment Planning, Orthognathic Surgery-Orthodontics Case Seminar, Literature Review, Interdisciplinary Orthodontics, Pre-doc Orthodontic Block Rotation, 3D Imaging & and Virtual Treatment Planning, etc.
Patient Care Activities:
Dr. Yi Lin practices in the UCLA Faculty Group Dental Practice and supervises orthodontic residents in the Orthodontic Clinic. She practices all areas of orthodontics, including interceptive, comprehensive, and surgical orthodontic treatment with braces and clear aligners.
