Grant K. Matsuura, D.D.S., is an associate professor of clinical dentistry at the UCLA School of Dentistry and a group practice director in its Dental Student General Clinic. Dr. Matsuura brings extensive experience in academic dentistry, clinical education, comprehensive patient care, clinic operations, and faculty leadership. Prior to UCLA, he served as an assistant clinical professor at the University of Utah School of Dentistry, where his roles included Liberty Dental clinical director, associate clinical director, and group practice leader. His work has focused on mentoring dental students, strengthening clinical systems, and improving patient care in academic and community-based settings. His teaching activities have included D1-D4 dental clinic instruction, fixed prosthodontics simulation lab, clinical challenges, and competency-based clinical teaching.
