About
Dr. Eman Allam is an associate professor in the Section of Public and Population Health with a joint appointment in the Section of Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Orofacial Pain at the UCLA School of Dentistry, having joined the faculty in 2025. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Master’s degree in Oral Medicine and Diagnosis, and Ph.D. in Oral Pathology from Cairo University in Egypt. Dr. Allam also holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree from the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
She has previously held academic and research positions at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) and the European University College in Dubai, UAE, as well as at the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) in the U.S. and the National Research Centre (NRC) in Cairo, Egypt. Her work bridges basic, clinical, and public health research. Dr. Allam is an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA), and the American Institute of Dental Public Health (AIDPH).
