About
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneima is a health sciences clinical professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry, directing its Orthodontics residency program, joining the faculty in July 2025. Prior to this role, he served as professor and chair of the Department of Orthodontic and Pediatric Dentistry at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He also previously held positions as director of the Orthodontics fellowship program and director of the 3D Imaging Laboratory at the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD). He earned his B.D.S., Master of Science, and Ph.D. degrees from Al-Azhar University in Egypt, in addition to a Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from IUSD. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a fellow ad Hominem of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
