Introducing the D.D.S. Class of 2029
Academic credentials for this 88-student cohort are among the highest in School's 61-year history.

The UCLA School of Dentistry proudly welcomes 88 future dentists comprising its D.D.S. Class of 2029 for orientation week activities!
This exceptionally talented cohort boasts some of the strongest academic credentials in the School’s 61-year history. Collectively, the class averaged an undergraduate GPA of 3.87 overall and 3.85 in science courses. That science mark ranks highest of any entering class, while the overall average equals the 2028 cohort’s high-water mark.
The class of 2029’s DAT averages of 23 overall and in science, and 22 in perceptual ability, also match those archived by last year’s entering class. UCLA’s D1and D2 classes also share the same gender breakdown: 68 female and 20 male students.
Reflecting national efforts to broaden representation in the dental workforce, students self-reported as 45 Asian, 23 White, nine Hispanic/Latine, three Black/African American, seven as other, while one did not report.
The UCLA School of Dentistry Class of 2029 officially begins its collective journey as future oral health care practitioners with the start of fall quarter on Monday, Sept. 22. Stay connected by following the class’s Instagram account.
