Community-Based Clinical Education

Dr. Lisa B. Nguyen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, serves as the associate director for Community-Based Clinical Education (CBCE) and is a health sciences assistant professor of clinical dentistry in the section of pediatric dentistry and the division of public health and community dentistry at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She has a passion for working in underserved areas and for helping others. 

Dr. Nguyen has experience in various dental delivery models and is responsible for building robust pediatric dentistry components within these models. She also held a part-time faculty position in the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at Staten Island University Hospital in New York from 2011 to 2014 and has been involved in various Public Health & Community Dentistry projects at the UCLA School of Dentistry since her move to Los Angeles in 2014. Dr. Nguyen was appointed to her UCLA faculty position in 2019 after her integral role in the implementation of UCLA Dentistry's CBCE program in 2018.
