Full-Time Clinical Track Faculty Position in Orthodontics

The UCLA School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time faculty position, at the level of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in the Section of Orthodontics. The Section of Orthodontics is recognized for clinical and academic excellence, up-to-date clinical facilities, and offers an exceptional research environment. Numerous opportunities are available for clinical and / or research collaboration within the Dental School, and other UCLA health schools.    

Primary responsibilities of the position include didactic and clinical instruction of dental students and graduate orthodontic residents. In addition, the individual will engage in research/scholarship consistent with their professional goals and program needs, as well as contribute service to the school and profession.

Applicants must possess: (1) a dental degree (DDS, DMD or equivalent), (2) a certificate of completion of a postgraduate training program in Orthodontics from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), (3) be a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics or be Board-eligible, and (4) a California dental license or special permit in dentistry (or be eligible to obtain one).  A track record of outstanding patient care and experience in teaching is desirable, as well as demonstration or likely commitment to diversity-related teaching/research/service. Engagement and familiarity with Craniofacial and Special Care Orthodontics (CFSCO) is desirable but not necessary.  

Salary and rank will be commensurate with education and experience. An opportunity for part-time clinical practice will be available provided the candidate possesses credentials to attain a California dental license or is eligible for a dental license/special permit in California.
